I'm attending another Kino Kabaret this year, but not in Vienna. A few weeks ago I received a mail about the birth of another Kino cell in Graz, which was organizing their kabaret this week.
Getting to Graz is reasonably easy with public transport and doesn't involve booking a flight for which I'd need to clear all my equipment (including the long boom pole). So, after about two and a half hour by train, I arrived in Graz yesterday evening and made it just in time to the introduction round.
I am the only sound engineer amongst about 40 people, which earned me another round of applause just for mentioning my field. But the one project I signed up for today didn't have use for me until the evening, so I had much time to chill out and chat with few people.
But tomorrow we'll start at 8am in the morning since there's much to do.
Also, I couldn't attach a picture since I haven't figured out how to get a picture from my Android phone to my Android tablet albeit Bluetooth-paired. Waving or pumping the devices didn't work as advertised either.
Ich nehme gerade an einem weiteren Kino Kabaret teil, aber nicht in Wien. Vor ein paar Wochen erhielt ich die mail über die Geburt einer neuen Kino Zelle in Graz, die nun auch ein Kabaret diese Woche organisierte.
Nach Graz ist es halbwegs einfach mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu kommen und braucht auch keine Buchung eines Flugs, bei dem ich auch noch meine Ausrüstung (inklusive der Mikrofonangel) durchbringen müsste. Nach nur zweieinhalb Stunden mit dem Zug kam ich in Graz gestern Abend an und schaffte es gerade noch zur Vorstellungsrunde.
Ich bin der einzige Tontechniker unter knapp 40 Leuten, was mir wieder eine Runde Applaus einbrachte nachdem ich meine Arbeit angesagt hatte. Aber das eine Projekt bei dem ich mich heute gemeldet hatte, brauchte mich erst am Abend, was mir genug Zeit gab um auszuspannen und mit ein paar Leuten zu plaudern.
Jedoch werden wir morgen um 8 Uhr früh starten, weil es noch viel zu tun gibt.
Ich habe übrigens auch kein Foto angehängt, weil ich habs nicht zusammengebracht die Bilder von meinem Android Smartphone auf mein Android tablet zu kopieren, obwohl per Bluetooth verbunden. Herumwedeln oder Anstoßen wie in der Werbung hats auch nicht gebracht.
